Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has declared that some airports within the country that were closed down in 2020 as a part of efforts to curtail the unfold of COVID-19.
Speaking at the press briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on weekday March 15.
In a statement by Sirika "the Mallam Aminu Kano International aerodrome would be reopened for international flights on April 5, 2021."
The Minister conjointly disclosed that the Port Harcourt and Enugu airports would be reopened for international flights on April 15, 2021 and should three, 2021 severally.
He said;
“The airports were close up, like others across the planet. we tend to closed our airports as that was wherever the virus came into the country. “We reopened some when several issues with the opposite stakeholders. There have been no ulterior motives for not reopening the Kano or different airports. There are processes to be followed."
